BCAAs are branched-chain amino acids that include leucine, isoleucine, and valine—three amino acids that your body cannot make on its own. Leucine, isoleucine and valine make up about 33% of the skeletal muscle in the body and are essential for muscle formation and are also helpful in slowing down muscle degradation.
